Guest guest
Someone wrote to "drink your raw milk and roar." I'm skimming so I've missed much but I got the stomach flu this week-end and I've had a head cold all week also. Anyway, with the stomach flu. I am 20 weeks pregnant so it isn't totally unusual to dry heave (which is what happened at 3am Sunday). What is unusual is that even after I ate some crackers I did it again (and again and again and...). So, after 5 hours of this I called my mother (why I'll never know but she was the only person I could think of that would a- be home at 8 on a Sunday and b- actually be awake). Of course, the first thing she said after I explained that I had been dry heaving for 5 hours (note dry heave=empty stomach from the get go) was that I'd obviously gotten sick from that UNPASTURIZED (not overemphasizing her feelings about the milk at all!) milk and that I had to call the doctor and get treated for e-coli. The whole family drinks it - most more than me - and I was the only one who got sick. Did I mention I had an empty stomach when this all started???? Anyway, I had the opportunity to correct her about the cases in CA that involved Organic Pastures (They didn't report that it wasn't the fault of the milk on ABC you know). Also got to remind her that she grew up on the stuff and didn't get sick from it. Anyway, possibly she'll think twice about disparaging the real milk (well, maybe not but...one can hope!). Glad I read the article here from Organic Pastures so I knew about the whole thing!BlessingsJenn in Vegas who's happily drinking real milk (or anything for that matter!) again! Yahoo! Guest guest
You go, girl. Sounds like that baby is getting trained in the right way, hearing Mama defend their right to choose real food over the garbage. I'm always amazed when I hear about people growing up on REAL milk, but so easily slipping into blaming it. Best regards to you and baby!
