Joyce, this part is only for those on Medicaid, not Medicare. If you are

drawing food stamps or other state-run programs, the state will get their

money back by attaching a lien against the deceased person's property. If

the heirs want to keep the property, they will be required to pay the amount

owed or it will be sold for moneys owed.
