Guest guest
Hi Colleen: Did your doctor take you off the Mtx or did you decide to do it yourself? I have done that, thinking I did not need this or that med, and have found out the hard way that they really were helping. Could be that is what has happened to you when you stopped the Mtx. You should call your doctor and see what he thinks, or if you could get a burst of Pred to help you through this flare and get you on your feet again. I hope you feel better soon - Take care - Kathe in CA --- Colleen <cmcpherson@...> wrote: > I have been diagnoised with RA (2003) hypothyroid > and Collgeous > Colitis (2003) and high blood pressure 2005. My Rhemey took me off of my Methotrexate because he felt the Asacol that I'm on for my colitis was similiar drug type and maybe I didn't need bot. I knew I had to have the Asacol because of past experiences, so he ask me to stop the Methotrexate. I am planning on calling my new Rhemey tomorrow morning and suggesting I begin Methotrextate again or he needs to prescribe some Pred because I am really in bad shape. I literally hurt all over!!
