RoLynn,

If you've got 8 kids and 10 acres you would do well to get that

Jersey. These days electric fencing is not all that expensive and w/

10 acres you could rotate your paddocks and really give one or two

cows great pastures.

Good to hear that you're considering expanding from the vegan diet.

Those are really difficult to source dietary requirements from,

especially in growing stages of life.

yes, and probably 2 good goat milkers would do it too....and lots of fun for the kids...TA
