oily hair question

I haven't posted in ages but have a strange question to throw out.

I have psoriatic arthritis. The psoriasis has affected my hands,

fingers, elbows, back hairline and eyebrows. I'm on Enbrel.

Four days ago after washing my hair, I 'easily' notices a large area

on the crown area of my scalp, about the size of my hand, that was

very oily. Next morning after washing well, same thing. This is now

the fourth day. I remember this happened about 5 years ago and went

away after 2 weeks. That time it happened in the summer. I teach so

I wasn't too upset. But, now school is in and I look like a grease-

bag.

Does ANYONE have any idea what this could be??? Have you heard of

anything like this before??? It's been suggested it could be a

variation of the psoriasis but it is oil-soaked, not dry. No one

I've asked has heard of anything like it. I know, with the huge

group we have that there MIGHT be a chance that someone could help.

Thank you very much.

Greetings, Suzanne!

I'm not sure what it could be, but look at this:

I'll see if I can find anything more substantial.

I'll tell you where to go!

! Hello after all this time.

That link you sent was a Godsend. No answers... but I AM NOT ALONE!

Amen. I went to the pharmacist and he said maybe some type of

condition where the oil sacks of the hair folicle burst. He said

there is something that old barbers use to use to dry up overly oily

hair but because of the psoriasis, I shouldn't use it.

I really appreciate the link. At least no one in that group has

psoriasis or psoriatic arthritis so I can't blame it on that.

Wishes of strength to all,

Suzanne
