Guest guest
Hi CJ, I am no expert but according to tests it needs close to 100 times the amount of naltrexone that we take for liver enzymes to become elevated if my memory is correct. I assume the steroids should be well out of your system now so can't in any way be contributing and that you don't take anything unusual to help with the diabetes or any other condition? Guest guest
Lots of chemicals can induce increased liver enzymes, alcohol among others... Gluten is another offender, and gluten might be implivcated in Diabetes ( primarily type 1), and gut flora (yeasts) might also produce " alcohols " , so a carbohydrate ( and / or Gluten ) poor diet might 1 give you better compliance to blood sugar, 2 give less food for yeasts in your gut 3 give you better liver enzyme counts 4 let you keep on LDN.. It seems that my liver enzymes are elevated. The only thing that it can come from is the LDN. Nothing else would cause it. I was taking 4.5 mg of the LDN. She asked if I drank and I told her that I never drink anything. I decided that maybe it would help if I dropped down to 3.0 mg. Has anyone ever had this happen to them or someone that they know. I have to have a physical in September and I will see if it works for me at that time. If it continues I guess I will have to stop taking the LDN altogether. (That thought scares me to death.) Does anyone know anything about this? I need a lot of input here gang. Thank you a lot. Guest guest
Good Morning Cj, I've been on 4.5 for 4 1/2 yrs. now, and I have my bloodwork done once a yr.and have never had any negative results. Now, I realize we are all different, but I'm thinking that there is possibly something else creating the elevation of your levels and suggest you reeeeallly look into everything BEFORE you consider stopping the LDN. Well, I'm not a doctor, by any means, but I sure would hate to see you stop what's working for you if the LDN isn't the cultprit!! Keep us updated! Carol " Until There's A Cure... Guest guest
CJ, I had elevated enzymes quite a bit.......the steroids were the culprit twice. Alcohol,..but you stated you didn't drink. Avonex and Rebif are MAJOR contributors not to mention that all of these work against the LDN (except alcohol). You said the stteroids contributed to your diabetes,..can you change the type of steroid you were using maybe? 2 --- OldMSProCJ1@... wrote: > > > Hello > I had a doctor (PCP) last week and as usual he did > his two vials of blood to > check for many things. Guest guest
Hi again Cj, I just did some reading on elevated liver enzymes. I was wondering, before you went for your blood work, did you fast for the correct amount of hours before hand? That would be a factor, as would vitamins. Just trying to give you some things to think about! Guest guest
Greetings I have dealt with hip pain most of my life, and various other pains off and on , but I have now a new problem and maybe someone can give me some insights as to what I might be dealing with. first off I am overweight and I am aware the problems it leads to.The last few weeks I have been noticing that when I bend or squat down that I am having a lot of difficulty getting back up , I have no strength in my legs muscles in and round my knees to get up and it takes all I have to straigten and pull my self up.......a couple of days ago I had to go up alot of stairs and it was very difficult, not alot of pain just weakness and stiffness in knees. This morning I wake up and my knee is swollen all around, not necessarily the joint just all around it, lots of stiff ness and weakness not alot of pain one would expect with the swelling and the swelling and a sense of full ness in the skin and stiffness extends to my calf and above the knee to the thigh area but all coming from the knee area. Is this Osteo, RA or bursitis , the mobility of it seems to not have gotten better since I got up this morning, my other knee is not swollen but it seems a little stiff as well, but no improvement as the day progresses..........My doctor is not end after noon on fri. so I have to live with this till monday and we have an ice storm coming this afternoon of alldays and getting worse for the week end.....How do I self treat this.......thanks for any imput Blessed be Pat in the Ozarks
