Guest guest
I believe there is a difference between breeds. Nigerian Dwarfs, Pygmy's, Kinder's and Nubian and Boer all have higher fat milk. The more cream in the milk the better it is. I don't much like Alpine and Togg's. Just tastes watery to me...Feeding influences milk too. Alfalfa and grain help to make a milk taste more " normal " (by that I mean according to what we like) although I've heard that in other areas of the world they don't like that. JJ, you said that importing goats was difficult in your situation. Can you use AI? One of the reasons I suggested using the native does was that some of the immunity would come through the dam and they would have a better chance of living. I'm afraid if you just buy does and import them they may not do as well due to parasites and disease that they have no immunity to. *~*~* Jo & Pete *~*~* @ " Laudo Deum " Farm kinderfolk_n_liddlebuds@...
