Guest guest
I receive disability due to my RA and go through evaluations every 3-4 years. My disability income started in 5/99. Recently I have begun considering going to college. Of course this is expensive but they have a tuition waiver that reads: Any resident of the State of land who is retired from the work force by reason of total permanent disability may register tuition-free for any credit class in which ten or more paying students have enrolled. To receive this exemption, the student must provide certification to the Cashier's Office in the Student Center in the form of a receipt of disability benefits from either the Social Security Administration or the appropriate Federal pension/retirement authority. From that wording I am assuming that this means loss of limb or sight type of disability. Since I am being reviewed I am not quite sure I would qualify. I have an appt. next month with an advisor but if possible would like some input. Shandi
