The reason the epsom salt/olive oil/citrus juice flush works the way it does to (usually) produce a dramatic expulsion of stones and sludge from the gall bladder, is primarily because the olive oil/juice mixture actually facilitates a kind of PHYSICAL or mechanical effect upon this organ, compelling it to purge some of its contents. Conversely, this Vinco's product is full of herbs, which work CHEMICALLY rather than physically, and which also require processing on the part of the (already overburdened) liver. And as far as I know, these sorts of herbal " flushes " never facilitate anywhere near the same sort of dramatic results that come from the olive oil flushes, because they don't cause the gall bladder to squeeze out its contents the way the olive oil flushes do. If you would (please!) take the time to research this more thoroughly, you'll learn for yourself how and why this is so. In short, by abstaining from consuming any fat during the day, this builds up some pressure in the gall bladder, as it is only triggered to secrete its contents of bile into the duodenum when fatty foods are eaten. So when the stomach suddenly receives all that olive oil at once, the gall bladder is signaled to contract forcefully to expel some of its built up contents. At the same time, the ingestion of epsom salts has a twofold effect, relaxing the biliary ducts and sphincter, while at the same time stimulating the production of cholecystokinin, which is the hormone that causes the increased production of hepatic bile and also stimulates the contraction of the gallbladder to release that bile. When it comes to really purging the gall bladder and liver of stagnant stuff, there's really no comparison between the dramatic results people see from doing Hulda 's flush, compared to doing any sort of herbal 'flushes' (which truth be told, in comparison are probably more like tonics than true flushes.) You may also want to consider that you've been taking an herbal kidney/bladder tonic for a month now (the Schultz K-B formula) and now you have a UT infection! Clearly these herbs were not effective in helping these parts of your body stay healthy, and it's very possible that this may indeed be directly connected to the fact that your liver is blocked up with toxins, not functioning properly, and so is unable to process the healing qualities of these herbs effectively. Does it make any sense then to dump a load of herbs into your body that need processing when your liver is already overburdened and basically incapable of processing all that's being put through it now? Bottom line? Personally I don't think any kind of herbal 'liver/gall bladder flush' product can ever approach the effectiveness of Hulda 's protocol when it comes to physically releasing and expelling congested crud from these organs. elan
