Guest guest
I have had some numbeness over the last month or so. I have been retaining a lot of fluid, and my family dr thought that was the cause. So I took a bunch of diuretics. Most of the fluid is now gone, but I am having more numbness. It started in my right hand. Now I have the numbness and tingling in my hands and arms, and now my legs. When I saw my rheumy two weeks ago, he referred me to a neurologist. That will be in two weeks. I also saw my family dr, and he prescribed decadron (I think that is the name). I also had an mri of my neck due to an old car accident. My neck is fine, and honestly I was feeling better. Today the nurse said that maybe the decadron was working. So tonight I took my enbrel. Within one hour I had numbness in my face and the numbness in my arms and legs is back stronger than ever. I have asked both of my dr's if the enbrel could be causing the numbness, and they basically said no. After tonight I am really thinking it could be the enbrel. Has anyone else had this? It is really painful. The only thing is that when I do something like type on the computer or sleep with my arms bent the pain is worse. I had a pinched nerve in my left arm that I had surgery on in '99. That is the only time I have ever had anything like this. Somebody please tell me I am not going crazy! I have looked up my drugs, but enbrel is the only suspect I see. I take plaquenil, enbrel, restasis, and synthroid. I have RA and Sjogren's Syndrome. I have been taking the enbrel since August or so of 2006. I was miserable before that even with prednisone. Thanks, G
