Guest guest
My name is Robin Mellie, I run a support group for women with special needs children in their families. I have 8 year old boy/girl twins that have Autism. I created the group, as I remember the early days when I had family and friends support, but no answers. I felt alone and really didn't know which way to turn first to best help my children. I found that I got the best advice from other women who had been through the same type of issues. So, I created S.N.A.P.S. - Special Needs and Parent Support. We are here to help each other with support, empowerment, education, acceptance and advocacy. Whether dealing with IEP's, Medicaid, therapies or activities, help is there. We meet the 3rd Tuesday of every other month at 7:00 p.m. Our first two meetings this year are January 17th and March 20th from 7-9:30pm. We hold the meetings at St. Chanel Catholic Church at 11330 Woodstock Road Roswell, GA 30075. There is no religious affiliation with the church, all denominations are welcome. This group was created to support all the hardworking moms/grand moms to do the best we can for our amazing children. We welcome all faiths. We meet in a comfy room, have food, drinks, relax and have fun!!! If you are interested please email me at rbmellie@.... You are not alone!
