Guest guest
Sharon, If your protein is low then you do need your shakes. Also, if your protein is low you may be retaining free water which can add up to many pounds of excess weight. Marta
Guest guest
> Sharon > > It breaks my heart to hear you so down. Please go see Dr K about it. You kinda sound like Dee was just before she found out her body wasnt working either. See him today!! ********************************************8 My appt is in 2 weeks. If Dr K was concerned I am sure he would have called me by now. I dont want to over react....lol I just feel lousy. This too shall pass.... *********************************** How? Well, I guess you are already doing the right stuff - no bread etc. How is the soda consumption? ************************************** No soda, I never went back there. I was eating way to much sugar, I am sure and started eating bread about 6 mos ago. But quit both. ************************************* > What about exercise? Even when you are tired, exercise can be invigorating. Maybe you and Jo could go to water aerobics? ************************************* I do plan on walking again. I still walk everywhere, but will start a regiment of walking with my weights again, as soon as it quits raining. Jo lives to far away and I have to work, but would absolutely love to do water aerobics! ************************************** > > Ugh..I miss you heaps and wish I was there to give you a big hug. > Keep us updated.. > Hugs > Kristy ************* I think a good old Aussie hug would do the trick. thanks Thank you everyone who replied, Vicki, Pat, Marta and others, I really just needed to vent I guess. Marta, I never quit drinking my shakes, I just started adding regular foods to my diet and I guess not getting enough protien. I need my shake in the am just to get going, I always have and always will. Good news is- my calcium levels are good. my cholesteral is low, but the good chol is higher than the bad. All else seems to be in order-I think. Will know more after my appt... Thanks again, for letting me vent. I do love you all. Guest guest
Oh Sharon! I'm so sorry you're feeling so bad! If your iron and protein levels are low, maybe your body is holding onto more calories right now in a self-survival mode? In any case, my heart goes out to you! If you felt better when you were on the newbie DS diet, by all means, go back on it! You can get the rest of your vitamins and minerals from your supplements. Please e-mail me privately if there's anything I can do. I'm really hoping I can see you and Mike when you come to San Diego in a week or so. Love you lots!
