I’ve recently updated a document I created which provides guidance to families for funding/grant opportunities & advocacy resources. The document is called Navigating the Maze and I’m attaching it to this e-mail. Some lists do not allow attachments and if you would like a copy of the document please e-mail me at debbie@... I created this document because I frequently hear from families that they don’t know what resources are available to them. Most of us with children with disAbilities face financial and advocacy stressors. I hope that this is helpful information to you. I recognize that this guide is just a starting point and the list is not exhaustive. If you have additional resources or updates that I should include, I encourage you to contact me. Come like my professional page on Facebook and receive information about current educational and disAbility related advocacy news. Together we will find solutions. It is not meant to represent legal or medical advice, but rather advice given based on my knowledge as the parent of a child with disabilities, a trained Parent Advocate by the GA Advocacy Office, a member of the Council of Parent Advocates & Attorneys, by working in the medical industry for over 20 years, training received from Pete on Special Education Law and Advocacy, and medical coding and documentation courses.
