Guest guest
The USDA has NOT backed down on ANYTHING...they have only re-worded the draft proposal for NAIS to make it APPEAR to be more palapable, i.e. voluntary rather than mandatory...they are STILL trying to use the individual state ag departments to force the issue on us. The USDA's draft proposal was never a " mandatory " proposal, but they have tried to force states to make it mandatory...and as far as that goes, NOTHING has changed, except wording to try to hide the real intent. There is STILL a fight on our hands, but an easier one...one person (you and you and you...and me) at a time can have FAR more influence on a local state legeslator than we can at the federal level...keep calling and writing your legeslator, letters to the editor, and educating friends, family, and acquaintanances...the fight is FAR from over.
