Guest guest
I had many problem when my son was at Kennesaw Elementary . He was on a MID class with 8 kids, 2 on a wheelchair, no bathroom in the class, no paraprofessional and a teacher that was absent all the time. Her daughter was borne with heart problems. I understand her situation but the school should have provided a parapro for her. My son develop a sleep disorder he was so stress out.He would not sleep the days he attend that school. Even Marcus Autism Center blame the school situation for my son condition. The principal did not help and the supervisor could care less. I had a horrible year. Take care, A.Simon, "I know God promises not to give me more than I can handle. I just wish he didn't trust me so much."-Mother Subject: Re: County Schools? To: autism-georgia Date: Wednesday, January 5, 2011, 8:08 AM I have been reading what you have said, my grandson was in Cobb County schools, you have to be careful what school he goes to, they are not all so great as some have said special needs pre-k and special needs kindergarten were great. Kennesaw elementary was the school year from H---. He learned absolutely nothing, except to hit the teacher when he wanted something (he was pretty much non verbal and another child was a hitter in that classroom) He got suspended from school and how do you explain to him why he is home for the day. We got no help from the principal, or the county head special ed person. I have a few friends that have kids in Cobb county and they have to fight for getting their kids what they need. I have heard ding County is much better set up for children with autism.Right now he is going to a private ABA therapy school.>> Greetings and Happy New Year!> > I'm writing to ask for guidance about Georgia County Schools.> My grand-baby, age 4, has not been formally diagnosed and has never been to> school.
