Guest guest
Hi ,What kind of therapist are you looking for?Maybe what you need is a doctor (I prefer alternative doctors) to help you attempt the recovery of your grandson. We currently use the Homeopathy Center of Houston (everything is on the phone). We have made very nice progress in the past year. But I know of a very nice naturopathic doctor in Woodstock. Her name is dr. Janine Romaner. This is her websitehttp://www.naturallyhealthy.ws/ She is very knowledgeable and I went to her myself. I didn't take my autistic daughter because we had already started with HCH and didn't want to change... If you let us know what specifically are you looking for, more parents may be able to help you... Hello my name is , I just recently became the full time care giver for my 9 y/o grandson and siblings (all younger), he is autistic. He is in the 3rd grade at a regular school special needs classroom. He does not speak, he stopped around the age of 16 months. He wears diapers/pull ups. I do not know what to do. I would like help with finding a therapist. We live in Fulton county, East Point. Thank you

Guest guest
Have you met with his IEP team yet? They can probably give you a big picture of what they are working on and what the school plans are. Is he getting therapy outside of school? You might want to go there next...find an OT/ST to evaluate him and create a treatment plan. Are you knowlegable about autism? if not, that should be another step you take...start reading and talking to people about autism in general as well as his specific needs. This will give you the info you need to start making decisions about treatment strategies, etc...
