Hi there,

Sorry I never responded to your post I have been super busy.

I am not sure what to tell you on this as I never gave much thought to the

recall info or anything like that, since in my opinion the manufacturers

seem unlikely to give us much info on the implants, but I suppose it isn't a

bad idea.

Did you ps drain your implants? Did you send them to be analyzed or anything

and did you have a total capsulectomy? Since they were siltex I am hoping

that you ps did a capsulectomy as the textured implants are known to shed,

however from the info I know about the McGhan and the Mentor siltex

implants, the siltex are not as rough and not as thick of a shell as the

McGhan however, I don't know if that means much as far as them causing

issues with our health.

I do know that there seem to be an overwhelmingly large number of problems

with both brands, and esp the textured ones. I think that you have a good

idea about keeping up on the implants, I am surprised you actually got the

box they came in, that is interesting, I never saw the box, but I did get

the package insert, did you get that as well? Did you know they were

textured before your surgery?

did the ps who implanted you also do your explant?

Anyhow I am asking more questions than I am answering I guess, ha.

How is your healing going? How long has it been now since explant?

Let us know how you are doing and what you decide to do.

I am glad you seem to be healthy, and not as messed up as I was, though I

must say I am feeling really good these days.

Take care

Hi ,

Yes, I knew they were textured , but my PS told me

that they were better for decreasing capsular

contracture and mine were over the muscle, also. I got

the implant box and extra valves to put the saline in

with (?!) , papers and all the disclosures.

I did not keep the implants themselves because I

misunderstood that I could have kept them. I signed a

paper that had them displosed of after they were

inspected. The records indicate the implants were

totally intact with nothing " remarkable " about them.

He did not remove the capsule, he released it instead.

He told me that my capsule was extremely thin, one of

the most thin he had ever seen. That explains why they

felt so mushy to me. Since I didn't go into the

operation with the note that I was sick from my

implants, a capsulectomy was not even discussed. Just

the benelli mastopexy to regain the shape from having

breastfed and being explanted. It would have been so

much easier had i just had the mastopexy way back then

instead of an augmentation. Geesh.

I feel great now. I'm healed up and the tucks and

folds are amazingly disappearing and changing for the

better on a daily basis. I had the explant in Jan 22.

The stomach problems I had been having for about a

year have finally been solved. I am lactose

intolerant! LOL and as long as I take a lactaid dose

before cheesy pizza or ice cream, I have no IBS type

problems what so ever. It took so long figuring out

what was causing the bad belly syndrome!

Hope all are having a great day,

Trinity

Well I am glad your feeling better that is the important thing.

I doubt that you can tell how much scar tissue you have from how they feel

but as long as you trust your Dr that is the important thing and if you feel

ok that he left the capsules in you and are healing well then that is great.

I just recommend that women get everything removed when getting explant and

feel that it should be really emphasized to women seeking explant to find a

surgeon willing to do it this way.

I am glad things worked out for you though, that is what counts most for

your future and I am glad your looking better, I new you would as lifts

always look rough in the beginning.

I would love to put your pics up here if you ever feel like doing that.

Love,

Trinity: These symptoms are probably due to candidiasis. I would recommend

Nystatin. Please see the section on yeast in the silicone immune protocol

at www.plastikos.com.
