Guest guest
The attached listing of Summer Activities was shared with me and I believe it is INCREDIBLE! I requested permission from the authors to share with you with their personal information removed. Many of our children thrive on having a plan and having something to look forward to in their schedule. The attached list gives some great opportunities for FREE or inexpensive ideas. I would add to the list to take advantage of the free bowling at www.freebowling.amf.com .... our family has done this for a couple years and the program is awesome. I highly recommend you purchase bowling shoes (about $20.00) for each child which will save you a lot of money on show rental ... after that, you are able to bowl 2 games every day for FREE for each child. We did not have good success ordering online, too much variation in sizes. We purchased from the store within the bowling alley. It is a great activity for fine motor (increases the upper body strength) sensory regulation(heavy work and lots of sensory input to regulate), working on social skills (taking turns, supporting others, verbal and nonverbal communication, using self control, I could go on and on) and beating the heat ... not to mention the fact that it is just FUN . Have a great summer everyone! Enjoy your children, they grow up so fast and you will never get these days back! Please feel free to pass along this email. Guest guest
God bless you guys! It's quite an undertaking to try to get it ALL in one doc, thank you to the authors for taking the time to put it together. I wish I had it when I was still living in Smyrna. Looks like y'all are having fun on the northside! But just you wait - the Southside will catch up soon! Raissa
