Guest guest
It certainly is possible to have tutoring included in an IEP. It could be done as ESY (Extended School Year) in a before/after school setting, on weekends, or over vacations. You are going to have to show a need for these services beyond what the child is receiving during the regular school day/year. There is some information about ESY on the Parent to Parent of Georgia website at: http://www.p2pga.org/images/stories/pdf/ESY.pdf If you need more information call them at 1-. Has anyone had experience or success in getting the school district to provide tutoring for your child as part of an IEP? In Gwinnett public schools, where we are, or any of the metro Atlanta county districts? Looking for options to add to an IEP for our 2nd grader to improve her learning rate/speed. Thanks, Marcus
