biomedical friendly pediatrician - Atlanta

Hello. I want to share with everyone the good luck we've had with our pediatrician. When we moved to the Northlake/Oak Grove/N. Briarcliff/Lavista area of Atlanta I chose the pediatrician recommended by the office ladies at our neighborhood school. We have BCBS HMO and so none of the recommended biomedical friendly pediatricians can work with us. Well, I'm very happy with Dr. Athanasios Verras. The practice is Verras Pediatrics on Montreal Rd off Lavista right at the Atlanta, Decatur, Tucker border. Whenever I've asked him to run labs recommended by our DAN!, he's complied with no complaint or judgment. He's willing to offer an alternative vaccination schedule and also has patients who choose to not vaccinate. When I explained some of the

interventions we're using, such as an Alzheimer's medication, he told me "Well you have to try things because the same fixes don't work for everyone." He is very open minded and non-judgmental. His office is clean and very nice. Because I'm a speech pathologist and have a client who uses Dr. Verras, I can verify that when paperwork or referrals are needed, they're completed quickly. The staff is lovely. Recently, when we needed labs, Dr. Verras himself drew the blood and called me personally with the results before the date he told me they'd be in. I can't recommend him enough.
