question about religious ed

Has anyone sent their moderately impaired child to regligious ed classes at a Catholic Church? I'd like for my daughter to be able to receive the sacraments and I think she could participate (with help) in the classes. Does anyone know if the Church has a position on special needs kids and preparation for the sacraments?
