Guest guest
Can you get a titer instead? When my son was due for his booster shots, the dr. took a blood sample. They can run a test to see if he needs the booster. If his immunity is still high from the original shot, he doesn't need the booster shot. And the dr. is not on the hook for failing to give vaccinations. That's what we did. --- Immunizations for 7 yr. old with sever autism??? Guest guest
I too recommend an immunity blood titer test. Some insurance companies do not cover this and it can be expensive, though. Also, you need a doctor who is willing to do the test. I had these test on my children and was surprised to see that they really did not need another vaccine at the time, however; it varies with each child. Some people have their vaccines given one at a time rather then several at at time. I don't know what doctors do this anymore or if it can still be done. Maybe someone else can post on that?? Their are several good books on vaccines and autism. I recommend doing some research first so that you have peace of mind about your decision.
