February 29 - March 1, 2012 Gwinnett Convention Center 6400 Sugarloaf Parkway Duluth, Georgia 90097 Featuring: Eustacia Cutler Dr. Temple Grandin Dr. Shore Dr. Jeff Bradstreet Georgia Autism Conferences Barbara Doyle, MS Presentation Proposals Due December 12, 2011 Notification:The lead presenter will be notified of the status of the proposal via e-mail on or before December 19, 2011.Presenters: Each lead presenter may submit up to two proposals. Each proposal must be submitted separately. Each proposal may have no more than three presenters (unless it is a panel discussion). All presenters agree to refrain from making potentially disparaging comments during the presentation.Process: Information should be completed by the lead presenter as he/she will be the contact person for all conference correspondence. Please carefully read all instructions. A review of all presentations will be performed and selections will be announced on or before December 19, 2011. If selected, presenters agree to submit a completed copy of each presentation on or before January 23, 2012. Presentations will uploaded onto the conference website.Session Details: Keynote sessions are 90 minutes - keynote presenters will be Dr. Temple Grandin and Eustacia Cutler Workshops are 75-minute sessions Panel discussions are 75 minutes and must have a named facilitator (as lead presenter) and no more than 4 panel participantsFormat: The format will include a 90 minute keynote presentation, and three 75 minute breakout sessions daily, each with six concurrent sessions. Workshop Content:The selection committee is looking for workshops that instruct, inform and/or educate attendees about autism spectrum disorders and/or evidence-based practices. Although proposals may refer to specific organizations, products or services, the presentations described must be topical in nature. Presenters may mention specific products or services only if they relate to the proposal. Submission Requirements: Complete the Call for Papers on-line form (including the following) A summary of the presentation including empirical evidence for any treatments discussed. Summary should not exceed 500 words. Provide three specific, clear, and concise educational learning objectives. Provide a brief description (50 words or less) of the presentation. Provide a brief description of any prerequisite knowledge needed by participants. Attach a resume/CV for each presenter listed on the proposal. Provide a brief biographical sketch for each presenter listed on the proposal. Please note that bios are subject to editing before print.
