Medicaid plus private insurance

I'm reading all the posts on this issue and I'm getting confused. I was

told that if you have medicaid plus private insurance you only go to

Doctors who accept Medicaid. In my case it has to be one who accepts

both medicaid and my husband's insurance. Is there a way to see a Dr.

just using the private insurance? I understood there wasn't so I didn't

try again.

Yes, you can see a dr. with the private ins...but if they dont accept

medicaid...then the remaining balance (co-pay, etc) will be your responsibility.

Nobody ever told us that. We usually do go to doctors who accept Medicaid

anyway...but Evan's ENT flatly refuses to file it. That's ok with us. You may

be

right, we may just be the victims of typical state-program miscommunication...

Love,

Diane.
