Guest guest
Hello, all. A listmate from another group shared with me the name of a Houston pedi she likes. We both are healing our children through biomedical treatment and choose not to inject any further vaccines or metals into our kids. My daughter had her first visit with this pedi yesterday and I found him to be kind, gentle, and informed. He is not a DAN! doctor and doesn't treat kids biomedically. He is a pedi you would see for routine treatment and care. However, he was A-Okay with my immunization stance....absolutely no hassles on this. He only asked that I provide him with a Texas Health Dept. Immunization waiver for her records. He said he was concerned that when the insurance agencies audit him they would see it as a failure on his part to vaccinate and he could be penalized. He wanted the chart to reflect this was my coice. Works for me and luckily I had ordered several copies of the philosphical waiver to have on hand. Anyway, it was refreshing to have a pedi just nod his head and say, " Okay. " rather than engage me in a debate of vaccines and where is the double-blind, controlled study, etc. If this is an issue for you, too, you may want to consider seeing this doctor. Also, he was open to ordering some of the more traditional lab tests you need while treating biomedically. For example, you need to monitor liver function while chelating or using Valtrex. This was coming out of my pocket with the rest of my daughter's biomedical care as we have Texas Children's Hospital individual coverage which doesn't cover our DAN! doctor. I asked her previous pedi to please run routine labs since the insurance COULD cover that. He refused. This doctor yesterday basically said, " What tests do you need? " and we went over 5 tests I thought a standard lab could perform and he agreed. I would have spent about $900 all told on those tests. Thanks to this doctor's open-mind the tests cost me a $25 co-pay. So...hope this long posts finds someone who needs it! Oh...important...my friend said his partners do not necessarily share his views/attitudes, so you would want this particular doctor.
