Guest guest
I have a problem with using the term " births " . My son was born normal and was normal in every sense of the word until the age of 15-18 months.... Is the term used by the CDC ...etc? > > 1 in 250 births to as many as 1 in 166 births >
Guest guest
I would also suggest contacting SARRC, the Southwest Research and Resource Center, in AZ and obtain a copy of the Friend Program. There is a brochure and video that introduce autism to children and encourage them to be special friends to our special kids. http://autismcenter.org/ Maggie and Trina Sherman wrote: Okay quick I need help. Guest guest
Substitute " children " for " births " . Guest guest
That's standard public health language. That way when they talk about mortality rates and people affected, it makes it more removed, more dehumanized--distancing themselves from the real human cost of this problem. S. Guest guest
I absolutely agree! But they don't want to admit that something happened along the way...as we all know. Especially since the numbers are getting higher and higher. Ya know? My baby WAS a normal baby too. AGH!
