Many medications are known to potentially cause depression symptoms in some people. These include, but are not limited to, some beta-blockers (such as atenolol, carvedilol, metoprolol, and propranolol), some seizure medications (such as phenytoin and primidone), and some anxiety medications (such as diazepam, alprazolam, and chlordiazepoxide).- M.
