Dr. Kolb,I am (somewhat) new to the online support groups have only been doing my own research for about 9 months. I had silicone

implants for 16 years, but did not start researching until after my

rupture last year.In looking up every site I can in my spare time, I

came across a "Glamour" article with reference to you still having

implants. Perhaps this was an old article and you no longer have any

implants, because I just can't see a doctor who has seen the damages

these things have done to women still have them in. I also have not read

about any other doctors who have implants. Also please explain to me,

why how a doctor, who has removed implants from women and has seen the

damages/suffering of the women, go ahead an implant more women? And why

would that doctor have the same implants? When I was a hair stylist I

went to alot of classes/shows dealing with new procedures products. I

remember there was an issue on whether to do any chemical services on

pregnant women because the chemical service would not take because of

the hormone levels. I chose NOT to do the service because of the

uncertainty of the issue. And there were alot more "uncertainties" with

that than there are with the implants issues. And hair does grow back

unless there were extreme circumstances. The thing I remember hearing

the most from some of the other stylists was that they needed the money!

I watched many stylists lose clients over this or refund the money. Yes

, refund the money or do the service again for free. I know I'm only

talking about hair, but I believe hair stylists work as hard as doctors

do if they can "re-do" their services for free then why can't doctors,

especially plastic surgeons? I never understood why doctors ( some car

mechanics) got away with charging twice. I remember also seeing

stylists have their clients sign a "consent form" in case the service

did not turn out right in order not to have to refund or do over. Kind

of the same way doctors do. I haven't seen a car mechanic try this one

yet.Don't take me the wrong way Dr. Kolb; I am not trying to start an

argument; I am not trying to accuse anyone; I would just like to

understand.Peace Love
