Guest guest
I had very elevated copper and a zinc def with all pregnancies - and post partum with all as a result. We are treating my son's zinc copper issue at this time through The Pfeiffer Treatment Center's protocol of vitamin supplementation, and are pleased so far with the results of this therapy...though it is always hard know which exact thing is working the best...as we are SCD legal foods only in our home, minus casein, we are on valtrex and diflucan, and then the Pfeiffer vitamin protocol. GO to www.hriptc.org or goodle Pfeiffer Treatment Center autism, and you will find the most thorough research on this specific issue thta is out there to my knowledge. Good luck. Guest guest
Hi Di from Sue, Re: your post partem depression.... One cause can also be low progesterone levels... It can be applied naturally..in good quality creams. (Look for at least 450 mg. per oz.)... google Dr. Lee's books ... for more info...if desired... Also... You mentioned.. that you felt great during pregnancy.. That's probably due to the fact that when one is pregnant progesterone levels... increase about 10 fold.x. It may be helpful to get a SALIVARY hormone test done for Progesterone, the 3 estrogens...=estriol,estradial,and esterone, as well as testosterone (women have it ,too ) and DHEA and cortisol levels... .. Diagnos tech labs is a good one. Traditional blood tests do not give accurate levels. Dr. Ray Peat was Dr. Lee's mentor...and has a great list of benefits of NATURAL progesterone in his book, too. (Don't get it confused with synthetic progestins ).. but some allopathic doc's may say it is so.... Natural P. has benefits like breast cancer preventative effects whereas synthetics are opposite. Most of Dr. Lee's books start with What Your Doctor May Not Have told you about --------" IE. = Breast Cancer, Pre menopause, Menopause, etc. a great series... but the later editions are best. Low progesterone can also affect fetuses... and can be a cause for miscarriages... and other complications. Hope that helps, Sue
