There was a post the other day from a mom who tried an Earthclinic

recommendation ( a website) and she swore it worked, much to her

surprise....egg whites all over the feet and then into socks...fever

down in 30 minutes. Another wrote liquid calcium does the same....

Let me know if it works. Di

We used homeopathy for our daughter when she was very young. Mostly

pulsatilla (for her clinginess, which was the predominant symptom of

her colds, flus, and even general well behaviour. I firmly believe

that pulsatilla is one reason why her behaviours never escalated into

the more severe manifestations of autism that are so common among our

children.

We used a classical homeopath. That means she only used homeopathy,

and only one remedy at a time.

I would recommend using a homeopath rather than trying to read a book

and do it yourself. From my experience and what I've heard against

homeopathy, DON'T try to find the right combination of remedies your

self and experiment.

The only two remedies I would feel comfortable recommending would be

belladonna 6 or 30 (commonly used for fevers and earaches) and arnica

6, 10 or 30 (for contusing, bruising, soft tissue injury, post surgery

or birth, etc.)

Homeopathy is very effective when the right remedies are used correctly.

15-20 minutes in a tepid bath has the same effect and there is safer since there is no concern of the alcohol being absorbed through the skin

Our herbalist/Acupuncurist showed us how to bring down a fever (he took a 102 fever to 99 in 15 minutes, AMAZED US. We've copied it at home several times since). Put pure alcohol (he uses Vodka) on a pure cotton ball. Stroke up and down the spine from the base of the skull to the middle of the back (about the bra line area). Up/down, up/down. It will get a little red and you will feel the temp coming down! My kids (and husband) ask for it now it feels so good. The herbalist says it "resets" the temperature gauge.Rita

Start the year off right. Easy ways to stay in shape in the new year.

Christel,

I would not use Isopropyl alcohol, it has it's own set of problems.

Our herbalist said anything Pure Alcohol would do. We do not

personnally use alcohol, but now keep a small Voldka (only $1-$2) in

our natural medicine cabinet. I had a friend use some cooking

alcohol brandy (check the proof) one time in a pinch and it worked

too.

We use homeopathy and diet first with good effectiveness. Homeopathy

only has side effects if it works, such as detoxing. We use only the

liquid. The white pills are actually covered with lactose from milk.

I have contacted boiron that makes most of the pill type ones last

year to ask them if it contains any casein but received no response.

I have used homeopathy for flu sypmtoms for the whole family last

year. I dont know if it helped kill the virus but I felt better

within minutes of taking it. Product is called something like

occiocillum from boiron.

Hope your feeling better-

Val

Also you can mix clay (non toxic) with water (mud like texture) and rub on soles of feet, and lower belly...let it dry and peel it over a towel then shower to get the rest off!!! It also make a great peeling for skin...helping detox of skin!!! leaving it smooth like a baby's bottom!!! love, Gabby :0)

we use an herbal cal formula in stead of tylenol for everything....works awesom AND also works similar to Lunesta if you need help dropping off to sleep. herbalist still recs mustard for fevers but I haven't gone there yet (it's this vision of smearing goldens all over my kid's body) luckily we haven't needed it in 10 months...

That is so true... but remember that temperature should not be removed unless it is above 103... reason is that the immune system is trying to fry the virus or bacteria that is causing havoc in their systems!!! you do not want to stop it then... just when it is dangerously high!!! Love, Gabby. :0) P.S. Common sense is your best bet!!! Always start with the less invasive and harmful procedure like a bath, and if that does not work, then try the next best thing and so on!!!
