Guest guest
ring worm is fungal but not candida. If the lotrimin isn't working, take her to the ped and get a Rx antifungal cream.CherylAvery has been getting ring worm that is now spreading. Is that a viral infection or a fungal infection or both? How should I treat this? Her topical anti fungal cream, Lotrimin, doesn't seem to make a difference after 4 weeks of application and bandaids on the worst circle. I bought some tea tree oil and some grapefruit seed extract that tastes disgusting and she won't drink it even mixed into a cup of non-diluted apple juice (which I hate giving her because of the sugar). Should I just scrap those two and go with the three lac? I haven't bought it yet because she had her stool tested by her pediatrician and there was no yeast in it, but this ringworm is candida right?Shena. Guest guest
My son had a case of ringworm this past summer. We found that the Lotrimin Max strength worked much better than the regular strength. We also made sure he put it on in the AM, immediately after school & and before bed. I was also told that you can use the cream that is sold for a woman's yeast infection (we didn't try this with our son since the Lotrimin Max worked). > > Avery has been getting ring worm that is now spreading. Guest guest
When my daughter had ringworm, I rubbed GSE on the area. Found out later it's recommended that you dilute it with something first (olive oil, coconut oil (coconut oil is anti-fungal so, would probably be very good), maybe even lotion.) Her skin got red and irratated but, it did clear up the ringworm. (and the irratation went away quickly) Sherri > > >> >> Avery has been getting ring worm that is now spreading.
