Guest guest
I'm sorry, but cream of tartar is tartaric acid, which Dr. Shaw says is produced by yeast, yes, is toxic in high amounts....cathy
Guest guest
Hello- Just wanted to try to help clear this one up... " Cream of Tartar " is not the poisonous substance. " Tartar Emetic " is the 'tartar' that is poisonous. Ironically, it is a chemical used in medicines (?!?!?); it's described as having a sweetish metallic taste and is a sudorific (causing perspiration) and a emetic (causing vomiting). Also, here is a page that explains another form the Cream of Tartar yeast treatment. This page recommends using 1 to 6 teaspons of Cream of Tartar- up to 'bowel tolerance.' http://www.docsprefer.com/creamoftartar.html > > I must have missed this, but what is MMS?
