Guest guest
could be leaky gut, IGG issues, Yeast issues, viral ect Recovering from Autism is a marathon NOT a sprint, but FULLY possible! Read more about it on my Blogs athttp://www.myspace.com/christelking Intestinal Secretory IgA and measles virus My son's secretory IgA levels were extemely, extremely high. From what I have read on line most ASD individuals are low in this. I know that it is indicative of inflammation ie colitis or crohn's disease, but could this be indicative of measles in the gut. Don't worry I won't start treating measles just from your responses. I just want to know of others whose children had the same issue. Was their issue extreme gut dysbiosis, bacterial, or viral? What was the Secretory IgA levels of those children with confirmed measles? Were they high or low? I am in my CSI: Crime Scene Investigation mode... Guest guest
I also read that really high Sec IgA can be due to parasites. You might try the new GI effects test at Metametrix as they have DNA probes and can pick up on 95% of the possibility of parasites vs the normal "comprehensive stool analysis, which only catches 5%, used previously. Guest guest
Dr.McCandless says this is the immune system working overtime. Often when this value is very high it will remain there for a while and then plumet. > > My son's secretory IgA levels were extemely, extremely high. Guest guest
, if you go to the Files of the yahoo group chelatingkids2 you can read a paper by Dr. McCandless about the markers for measles in the kids. I do not recall if IgA is one of them however. Gayatri > > My son's secretory IgA levels were extemely, extremely high. From what > I have read on line most ASD individuals are low in this. Guest guest
Salivary Secretory IgA was listed, but not intestinal Sec IgA. Are these connected in some manner? This file is what started me on this particular quest, which is one of of many. These kids issues are really so mindboggling, there are so manny issues these children are affected by. I know he has viral issues, as he presents with many of the issues but it could really be anything. Thanks for your help. > > > > My son's secretory IgA levels were extemely, extremely high. Guest guest
Hi : Dr. McCandless did a study a few years ago where they looked for the measles virus antibodies in the saliva and did bloodwork. I do not know if the results are published anywhere. But yes, they did find the measles on there. My son's were moderate not super high, but I know he had rampant inflammation and a very bad immune system and those two things exacerbated our problems substantially. Did you take a look at the thoughtfulhousecenterforchildren list. You may want to post your son's problems on there and see what kind of response you get. There is also the website for the Thoughtful House, you may want to check out Dr. Krigsman's presentation and see if it looks relevant for your son. With viral regression stemming from stomach issues followed by mucus in the stool, I would want my child scoped. There is extensive paperwork, or was some 2 years ago when we did it, and testing and then the scope - so you are looking at an event a couple of months down the line. http://www.thoughtfulhouse.org/ http://www.thoughtfulhouse.org/bio_akrigsman.htm What does your DAN say, does he recommend a scope?
