Guest guest Posted January 3, 2008 Report Share Posted January 3, 2008 This doesn't make sense to me. Why if we give our kids an anti viral do they break out with rashes and herpes? My NT daughter had an out break a while back of real bad herpes in her mouth when she got the flu. The doc gave her a prescription for acyclovir and it helped them heal. Why then if we give our dd kids valtrex do they get worse first. How come it makes the virases come out first then heals them? It didn't do that with my daughter it just made her better. I'm just trying to understand. I will be starting my son on diflucan and valtex very soon and even if I don't ever get answers on my questions I would still do it cause I know how viral my son is and if it will help him get better then its going to get done even with out answers.
