Gaylen Tharp SOCIAL GAMES CLASSES Every other Sunday, 10/8 - 12/17 Oak Point Recreation Center, Room C Corner of Jupiter & Spring Creek in east Plano Level 1 (Ages 5+) – meets 2:00-3:00pm – $55 Designed for kids at a pre-social, pre-conversational level that are ready to participate in small group games and activities. This class focuses on the very basics of social interaction including turn-taking, cooperating with others, group play, pretending and self-expression. (Older kids with limited conversational ability or who need more primary interactive experiences are welcome in this group.) – Maximum Size – 8 Level 2 (ages 7+) – meets 3:30-4:30pm – $55 Designed for kids who have an interest and ability to actively participate in group games and detailed conversations but need help in building friendship and cooperative group skills. This class focuses on expanding the participants' ability to share their thoughts and ideas, work with others in a collaborative way and understand the give and take of a friendship. Maximum Size – 10 Plano residents and those living in PISD may begin registering on Saturday, 8/26. Those in other areas may begin registering Wednesday, 8/30. There is an extra $4 facilities fee for non-residents. These classes tend to fill up quickly so register early through one of the following methods: 1. Online at www.planoparks.org You will need to get a family ID and PIN number by first calling one of the Plano recreation centers. Oak Point tends to be the easiest one to get through – .
