black stains on the teeths

Hi All

My son on scd diet for a 3 months and we have noticed

Start having a black stains on his teeths.

Has anybody has an idea what could it be

Are we missing anything or doing something wrong??

When I noticed this with my son it was due to an antibiotic that we

were using - it was something that ended in cef. We used a washcloth

for his teeth and were able to get it off. He was quite young and I

kinda freaked out when this happened. But it came off easily.

Just an idea.

if you are giving an iron supplement that could discolor teeth;

happened to our son. It was temporary.

Another, much more mundane possibility:  Has he fallen pretty badly lately?  If he has, he may have bruised his teeth.Cherylif you are giving an iron supplement that could discolor teeth; happened to our son. when my child was one and a half the same thing happened to him with a vitamin with iron it went away...but I was concerned at first Dana

We've had this problem, too, which occurs intermittently. My son has

never been on an iron supplement (but takes about a 1,000 other

things). Any other thoughts on what might be causing this?
