Guest guest
I just wanted to run this by all of you since I've found this group to be incredibly helpful. I have a friend whose son is on the spectrum...diagnosed with Asperger's. She is just starting to research biomedical treatments, but hasn't really started anything as of yet. He sees a DAN! doctor and has had labs conducted. As far as I know, not much has been abnormal with the labs (if only we were all so lucky!) I think his oxalates are slightly high. Her son just started having blood in his urine and frequent urination, but his pediatrician said that it is NOT a urinary tract infection. She said the same thing happened two years ago and lasted for quite a few weeks then cleared up on its own. The only other biological symptom she has observed is that his ears turn bright red. I've heard other parents mention this, but it's not something I've seen in my own son, so i've never paid much attention to the cause of that. Obviously, she is concerned, so if any of you have any input, I'd love to hear it Thanks much. Kari
