Guest guest
FYI for those who would prefer not to give tylenol or motrin for fevers. Terra, my 4 yo, had a high fever the other day 103.5. I gave her a calcium tablet crushed and mixed with a bit or juice...fever went down to 100 after 40 minutes, and never went back up. Gone in the am, left with a mere head cold. The calcium worked. Guest guest
I gave her a regular calcium citrate vitamin that was SCD legal (there is a list of fillers, binders, additives that don't feed yeast and bacteria on the pecanbread site I believe...and though we are not technically SCD diet, I have found that limiting my son to only those foods that are SCD legal has made a HUGE difference...no sugars, starches, or grains or pastas...carbs from fruits and veggies only basically. He eats like a bird and yet has put on 4 lbs and the dark circles under his eyes are gone at the moment. Di) FYI for those who would prefer not to give tylenol or motrin for > fevers. Guest guest
Yes and how did you come up with this idea, I wasn’t aware of the link between calcium and fever (but my son has often low grade fever and I suspect calcium defiency for other reasonsà Senta WOW! Guest guest
Anyone know why this works? I'm curious but don't have tons of time to look if someone happens to know already.... curious because I learned years ago cal-mags help prevent migraines. Must be a similarity, I would think (?).
