This is our first GI visit with Matt. Dr. Ament at UCLA. Will he ridicule us for our attempts to to the SCD foods with Matt to alleviate some of his autism symptoms? WHat can we hops for from a GI appointment? Thanks. Di

if this guy is a gi doc, i'd be VERY interested in you sharing your experiences as i have been looking for a good gi doc in the la area for years (sort of like a dr krigsman). i believe there is another gi doc at ucla that i have heard a few good things about. i believe this doc is a female and the name is mehar. dont quote me though. i have to look back on a few emails to get the name straight.

I think you must mean Bahar...trained by AMent is my understanding

and the woman who rec this guy to me also went to Bahar. She raved

about both, but her issues were not ASD ones...a terrible very rare

GI disorder in her daughter...so rare that chldren's hospital

reported her for Munchausen by proxy (sp?) until Ament correctly

diagnosed the child's issue and vindicted her. She now goes to Bahar

as he is in Encino and Ament is far less convenient to her. I don't

know how he will be for a child with spectrum issues....her duaghter

was never vaccinated bc of food allergies and medical issues...so all

the GI woes, but none of the autism ones. Di
