Guest guest
We've been using it for almost a year and we're ready to stop. I've seen nothing. Just recently my son started having a hard time in the afternoons at school. I got the doctor to write me a note saying he could have his oxytocin at school. Normally I give it before school and right after I pick him up. He starts having trouble around 2pm in school so they started giving him his sprays at 1:30,right after lunch. According to school he's worse now in the afternoons than before we started giving him the spray there. We're up to 2 sprays 2x a day and still see nothing. KerrieStart the year off right. Easy ways to stay in shape in the new year.
Guest guest
I am not familiar with oxytocin as an autism treatment...what is it used for? Just curious. Thanks for the info! Guest guest
Oxytocin is supposed to aid in socialization and language , possibly make the child connect more to people. Something related to the way women feel when they are in "love" - this is the feeling (I believe) the child or person using the spray-may benefit from. My son has been more loving. Once again, I am not sure what the factor is-if it is the oxytocin. Be a better friend, newshound, and know-it-all with Yahoo! Mobile. Try it now. Guest guest
Re: the weird part He seemed a bit more OCD yesterday, stimmier - but new/different stims. But I cannot realte it to the oxytocin; I was just looking for any other stories to relate it to. I am almost sure that this is not even a side effect for oxytocin, but I stopped it for a day (we are at a really small starter dose) and added it back 1/2 the next but again, I saw no difference. Guest guest
My son's pool begins to fill up really fast on it. I did see him more affectionate (its for bonding, you find it in breastmilk, its what causes the " let down " ) and this was at one spray a day for only 2 days. By day 3 he started to decline - behaviors down, meltdowns, motivation down, not wanting to do any work at school, tired, cognition down too. I pulled it but it took a day and half to leave his system. I tried to pulse it, still no go. I will retry at a later point in time. Guest guest
I've tried it on my Aspie couple months ago and did see the " no more fear " effect, but noticed more stims as well especially time came to do homework. He had difficulties focusing those days and his test grades dropped. So, I tried the same dosage on myself and couldn't wait for it to go away. I couldn't focus at work and was extremely irritable.(Is that how I look when i'm in love? LOL;)))) I would suggest to read carefully what it says on wikipedia in regards to side effects, especially learning. I found the effects very strange, but I heard others using it for a while with success. > > Oxytocin is supposed to aid in socialization and language , possibly make the child connect more to people.
