My son runs pretty high fevers, and when it gets into the 103 area, I always give him something to bring it down. I've done the tepid bath thing, too, but it brought on a benin febral seizure for him.

Re: Is Motrin suggested for high fever -103.5?

He is sleeping. Not uncomfortable at this time - last checked and it was 103. The fever came on this evening...we did not put into a bath as he fell asleep in our arms he was so wiped out. at the time fever was 102.> Is a fever helping our son by killing viruses or should we bring it > dwon with Motrin ASAP...thanks! I use Motrin, I am sure someone else will

say not to but I have heard it is much better to use than Tylenol and it does

bring a raging fever down quickly.
