Commissioner's rule - Autism Supplement Comment form

Please take some time to provide public comment on the Autism

Supplement which is part of the Commissioners rules. For all the new

folks in the autism community the autism supplement is part of each

child with an educational label of autism IEP. The autism supplement

is ONLY IN TEXAS and it was developed about 25 years ago. Last

legislative session the TEA was required to form a committee to study

the autism supplement and then make comments on any changes needed.

(Attached is the final recommendations from the autism rule study

group.)

I encourage folks to read over the current Commissioner rule (see

below) and then read over the final autism study group

recommendations (word document attached) and then let the TEA know

what changes, if any, YOU feel are needed to be made to the CURRENT

autism supplement.
