Guest guest
My tommy had a similar sounding rash when we started MB12 shots 5 weeks ago. I was initially alarmed because it is possible to have an acneiform dermatitis from allergy to the shot. Our DAN thought it might be yeast coming out. But, I don't think so as it was not red and not pustule type - just little raised goose bumps - about as common as hair follicles and feeling like sand paper but not his typical eczema presentation. We increased his daily folic acid and added one day between shots, voila, no more rash. So I dont think it was an allergic reaction, but it probably was his body getting rid of toxins. Since amantidine is an antiviral, it seems like it really might be pushing viruses out through the skin. COOL. --- tommysmommy67 wrote: > Hi. Guest guest
I'm sorry but i don't know if taking folic acid will help the body use amantadine... I think folic acid helps the MB12 to enter cells where it can be used by the mitochondria; I guess it would help amantadine also? I just don't know on that. Folic acid is supposed to be necessary for the body to maintain healthy cells; so, i would not think it would be harmful unless it is contraindicated for use with amantadine specifically. I don't have my copy of the PDR here (Physician's Desk Reference). That book usually lists known contraindications in it for prescription drugs. But you could also call your pharmacist to see if folic acid is ok to take with amantadine. the pharmacist should have the PDR and be able to look it up for you. --- Handley wrote: > Thanks for that response Amy. After about 3 weeks on the CLO and the Pro omega his skin bumps dissapeared....and his skin was smooth. He was alos taking other supps, too. Never miss a thing. Make Yahoo your homepage. Guest guest
My son has the same rash. It happened twice now, after 3 week of Diflucan and after 1 week of Caprylic--could it be yeast moving? Shanon wrote: My son had bumpy skin-like chicken skin, and somewhat dry. Guest guest
Hmmm... we aren't on any antifungals, just the antivirals and mild chelator. Guest guest
One of my girls has the same rash on her cheeks. She has had this for 2 years. Dr thought it was a milk allergy but taking milk away did not help it. She also has red bumps on her butt. Her twin has the same thing. Dr says yeast but nothing has helped. I have tried Threelac, lysine, OLE, GFE. No luck.We are not doing any treatments but supplements. Any ideas???"Amy W. Guest guest
Can you ask for a script for diflucan to try.....that really gets yeast. Another natural to try is grapefruit seed extract. Use for 2 weeks and then take a break. You will also need 3 to 4 good probiotics to rotate to give the gut good flora. --- April Hornung wrote: > One of my girls has the same rash on her cheeks. Guest guest
sounds like a viral rash to me. my son used to have a red blotchy splotchy thing happening on his face on his worst days when he began showing signs of autism. looking back, I do believe it was from the chicken pox vaccine (we never gave him an mmr shot) and if only I knew then what I know now I would have immediately tried him on antivirals.
