Guest guest
I would not discontinue the Valtrex or the diet. Die off from both tends to cause sleeplessness and whininess. The giggling is probably yeast die off. Keep some melatonin on hand and try some activated charcoal, too. Make sure you give the charcoal about 2 hours away from anything before or after. It should get better within a couple weeks. Since you are just now seeing it after starting the diet, I would think that she is also going through some withdrawals.CherylWe have been on Valtrex/Diflucan for about 3 weeks. We started SCD (intro diet) on Saturday. My daughter woke up at 10:30pm last night and was up until 4:30 am. She went from crying to giggling. Should I stop the Valtrex for a bit as we change her diet? Is her system going through too much change at once or is that the point. She has self-limited to CF/GF carbs prior to the diet so SCD is a huge change for her system in itself. Anyone else been here?
Guest guest
We've been on Valtrex/Nizoral for 2.5 weeks and SCD for 5 weeks. I would keep going with everything. The giggling for my son is usually yeast. Are you doing the intro diet? Beyond that, I'd watch out for too much juice or fruit... it can make yeast worse. It will get better though! When you think of the yeast being kicked up in their bodies, it makes sense that they will get a little wonky. My 4 year old son keeps getting too hot and taking his clothes off. It is making me (and his teachers) crazy! This too shall pass... All my best,
