Guest guest
Hi! I have a 3 y.o. son who has been GFCF for over 2 years now. We have been tweaking supplements for a while now, and it seems like we can't win the battle over yeast. Just as soon as something works, we see some other yeasty behavior or old stuff returning. I try not to be rice-dependent with his diet, and use lentils, quinoa and other millets etc. I didn't want to do SCD because he is sensitive to some nuts, and mostly because we are vegetarian, and without meat, it seemed like SCD would be extremely restrictive, and even not as SCD was intended! I am now wondering if we should get some meat into his diet, especially if it will help with the yeast. Does anyone have any opinions on this? As a family, adding meat will be hard to do. But we will do it if it has the potential to help him. He is very skinny and tall (not underweight), and does not really have a marked protrusion of his belly. (I believe that is a sign of protein deficiency?) He gets probiotics regularly, and also No-Fenol, which makes a huge difference. Please let me know what you think. Thanks much in advance!
