Guest guest
We've been on Valtrex for a few weeks. We've seen some mild viral die- off, chapped lips, runny nose etc, slight rash. Since starting Valtrex we had an appointment with Dr. Krigsman, so I wanted to wait and see the results of all of her intial testing prior to starting the diet. Well, we are in need of getting scoped and the pill cam. In the meantime, all signs are pointing toward gut inflammation. She is eating less and less protein and seems to be addicted to the allowable carbs on CF/GF/SF (corn cakes, rice cereal, GF pretzels) etc. Now that I know these aren't helping (and probably hurting her) I'd like to go cold-turkey SCD. How should I handle Valtrex during this time. I'd hate to lose ground since we're just getting over the initial die-off and I'm hoping to see some gains. Can I just continue to give it while attempting SCD? Advice appreciated. Kind Regards, Deanna Mom to Rosie, age 3, ASD
