Hi,

I am very worried with my son at the moment. I felt he was

>very tired these days and had increased pee + accidents and I decided to give a

break on

a few things

>(Gluthatione, BH4, uva ursi and naturals cholrella mix and antifungal mix)

>

>In the meantime he started to:

>

>Spin (about 4 times a day)

>Rock (about once or twice)

>Doing 'break' movements, swinging with arms, strange movements with the

>wrists (often)

>Blinking the eyes and pushing on them &

>Knocking on his head with his fists (several times a day)..guess heacache

>

>He had one episode where he stood like a statue and said his eyes hurt (but

>I couldn't observe well I was driving the car)

>

>He had a good shake of a two seconds while eating

>Yesterday he woke during the night and was shaking all over. He had cramps

>in his tummy I'm sure because he also had gases but it looked it was more

>than that and that all his body was taken. It lasted for about 15 minutes,

>he was crying loud and was able to change position (no unconsciousness). I

>was terribly anxious. After that he came to my bed and he had another time

>with little fits and then no more.

>He had no special or new food (evening GFCFSF pasta with peas and GFCF ham)

I'm not sure if this is seizures or spasms or whatever

>

>Behaviorwise he is alternating between normal and regressive (clinging,

>whining, baby talk), moments where he is almost sleepy, normal moments and

>hyperactive ones.

>

>I went to his ped today and she asked if it could be side effects from long

>time Valtrex use (in her book with all meds it looked like valtrex could

>have effects on muscular/nervous system). He's been on it for 6 months (and

the first 2

were absolute hell, althoug different behaviors)

>

>She gave me an rx for an EEG, said I could also do a 24h if I wanted, but

>I'm in no hurry to get him in hospital 24 h with that stuff on his head.

>

>I got so frightened, I'm almost in a state of shock.

Acutally when I looked at the possible side effects of the Valtrex it might be

possible

(first one listed are neurological disorders) has anyone had an experience of

this kind with

the Valtrex. I rather lost here. I think his kidney & liver function might be

low and I will

do some bloodwork next week, but in the meantime I wanted to hear your comments

on

this.

Thanks a lot,

Senta
