Valtrex Causes Nausea and Vomiting-Any suggestions

Hello,

I am new to this board and am starting my son (4) on Valtrex.

We started diflucan a couple of weeks ago and started valtrex today

with 125 mg to start. Within a 1/2 hour of taking the first dose, he

threw up.

I had heard that it was horrible tasting so I tried a small dose to see

how it was in the pear juice I mixed it in and syringed it in with. My

stomach is upset as well.

Has anyone else had this happen? Will it pass or can some kids not

tolerate valtrex.
