Guest guest
I am so confused as to where to begin with this diet. We have been on GFCF since July with a little step forward here and there and lots of steps backward. So I want to try SCD diet. When we did GFCF of course I substituted wheat for rice, corn & tapioca. All the starches. Overall my son's diet isn't awful. He does eat some veggies like carrots, cucumbers, brocolli, peas as well as a great selection of fruits. Our issue is always protein/meats. So if I take out all of the starches (mostly rice, corn, potatoe, tapioca) I just don't know what he will eat. His IGG test listed almonds as low reaction though the DAN dr who we saw said not to worry about those that were in the low area and to focus on the ones that were high. He also had issues with eggs, peanuts, blueberries, casien, cheese. I have been using darifree to substitute milk and not sure if I should try goats milk instead since that did not cause a reaction. When your kids are on this diet to you limit the amount of fruit they have because doesn't fruit have a lot of sure in it which can impact/add to yeast problem? Trying to gather my info to be well informed. Joy
