Guest guest
Many commented that >>> " They are called aborigines- Maoris come from NZ " <<< Thanks, I stand corrected. Actually a more respectful name for them would be " Native Australians " (like we called " Indians " , " Native Americans " ). This is because there are apparently, several different tribes who have different customs and different languages very much like is true of Native Americans.http://education.yahoo.com/reference/encyclopedia/entry/Australab But the content of my message remains the same. The original comment was that they were " of very low intelligence " which has been said about African Americans, Native Americans and just about every other non Caucasian society. Those saying these things call it accuracy but some other folks would call it " racism " and since this type of comment has not been true of ANY OTHER society that we have examined (and remember I gave a couple of examples of studies etc so I did document my statements), it's a no brainer that a statement like this is also not true of Native Australians. The comment also suggested that the low cholesterol level of the Native Australians is a cause of the " low intelligence " where likely it's the same as lower cholesterol in any of us - contingent on diet, amount of exercise and heredity and according to studies may be an advantage to health and not a disadvantage. The fact that the Native Australian population has had a higher incidence of heart attacks, I further pointed out, may well be similar to what we observed in our African American population and has been attributed to the stress of living in a hostile, difficult environment. Stress is a major factor in heart attacks. I also pointed out that low IQ does not mean low intelligence - at present the only way we have of measuring IQ are very biased tests which only test 5 or 6 talents out of some 22 found in humans (not counting creativity which cannot be tested at all but is a definite type of intelligence). -- best,Suehttp://healthread.netWeight loss video:
